Why am I getting a session expired error message in Ebook Central?

ProQuest made some changes to the format of ebooks in the summer.  The advice given to resolve the error you are seeing is:

 

ProQuest EPUB reader error message

ProQuest has recently changed their platform to default all eBook links to open in EPUB format. You may see the following error when using their EPUB reader.

 

Error message:

Your session has expired, please refresh this page, search again or sign-in again.

 


 

Solution: Sign out and sign in again

  1. On the error message, click Done
  2. In the book details page, in the top right of the page, click Sign Out


     
  3. Try accessing the book again
